Arranging Events in the Project/Gantt Chart

In the Project/Gantt Chart, event details are listed in a table style format along the left side of the timeline chart, while each event is plotted on the timescale on the right on the line which corresponds to its details. By default, events are sorted by their start date/time. Because events are plotted on the timescale by the date they occurred, they can only be moved vertically on the chart, not horizontally. As events are moved, their corresponding details move in the table so that they always match.

To move events on the timeline chart:

1. Select the event(s) you wish to move.
2. While holding the left mouse button, drag the event(s) to the desired position on the chart.
   

To sort events by column in ascending/descending order:

• Double-click on the column header of the column you wish to sort by within the table on the left of the timeline chart. Repeat as necessary to switch between ascending and descending order.

• In the Chart tab, Chart group, click the Sort by button. Choose the column you wish to sort by from the drop down menu.
  

Note: If you select Event List order from Auto Arrange or Sort By drop down menu, Timeline Maker Pro will sort your table with the same sort order used in your Timeline Data tab.
