Bar Timeline

The Bar Timeline is a graphical representation of the data in your timeline file. In the Bar Timeline, each event is assigned a bar, the length of which is determined by the time span of the event. Events are positioned on a timescale according to the date and time they occurred.

To create a Bar Timeline:

1. After entering data in the Event List, select the New Timeline Chart tab or click the New Timeline Chart thumbnail in the Timeline Charts pane on the left of your screen.
2. Under Select timeline layout, click the Bar option

A new Bar Timeline will automatically be displayed in its own tab, and a convenient thumbnail of the timeline will appear in the Timeline Charts pane.
