The Project Chart is a graphical representation of the data in your timeline file. In the Project Chart, event details are listed in a table style format along the left side of the chart, while the timescale is placed along the right side of the chart. Each event is plotted on the timescale on the line corresponding to its details listed on the left. Events that occur at a single point in time are displayed on the timescale as a milestone, while events that span any length of time appear as a bar.
To create a Project chart:
- After entering data in the Event List, select the New Timeline Chart tab or click the New Timeline Chart thumbnail in the Timeline Charts pane on the left of your screen.
- Under Select timeline layout, click the Project option.
A new Project chart will automatically be displayed in its own tab, and a convenient thumbnail of the chart will appear in the Timeline Charts pane.
