Including timelines in a presentation

By default, the timelines you create are included in your presentations, however, depending upon your needs, you may wish to exclude some of the timelines in your file.

  1. While viewing the timeline you wish to include/exclude, select the Home tab.
  2. In the Chart group, click Include in Presentation. A checkmark in the checkbox indicates that the timeline will be included.

Tip: If a number appears beside the timeline in the Timeline Charts pane, this indicates that it has been included in the presentation. Alternatively, icons in the timeline tabs will be greyed out in any timeline not included in the presentation.

Adjusting the timeline sequence

The order of your timeline tabs, or of the thumbnails in the Timeline Charts pane, is the sequence which the timelines will be displayed in the presentation. To rearrange your timelines:

  • In the Timeline Charts pane, click on the timeline thumbnail and drag it to the desired position. Repeat as necessary. Tip: The number next to the thumbnail in the Timeline Charts pane is a sequence number. This helps you keep track of where each timeline will appear in the presentation.
    OR
  • Click on the timeline’s tab and drag it to the desired position. Repeat as necessary.

Timeline Maker Pro includes further customization options for how your presentations are displayed. These are accessible in the View tab, Presentation group. For more information, see also: Presentation Options.
